This weekend RCFU took something of a field trip, travelling to DC’s blissfully colorful art gallery Blind Whino for Pink Plastic‘s first ever pop up show!
The event kicked off at 2pm yesterday and the venue was equally as fun as the brand itself. Pink Plastic prides itself on being a brand designed with all women in mind. From luxe outwear to dainty intimates, and from cheeky swim to Rihanna-esque satin sets, Pink Plastic pieces have the power to transform any lady into a princess who owns and recognizes her power and her prowess.
This through-line was more than evident as beautiful people in nearly every shape, size and skin tone strutted around the DC gallery dressed to impress. Check out some of our favorite looks:
There was definitely much to see Sunday afternoon as the gallery began to swell with good eats, good music and great vibes. Many lady led vendors joined forces with Pink Plastic to help put on this event, such as Maryland’s Lash Out Loud, who raffled off a full set of lash extensions, L’strassed Chae who created some beautiful hennas on attendees, and artist Andrea Mckenzie who sold her breathtaking *black girl magic* work, just to name a few!
From the looks upon looks literally strolling by, the amazingly eclectic vendors and artists, and poofs of pink cotton candy whirling around, it was quite obvious that the Pink Plastic founders, Aurum and Ann along with their solid team had put together one happening GIRLBOSS party. The atmosphere was one of celebration–both of sisterhood and of the success that unfolds because of it.
